New Homes
Like most of Morris-Day’s work, these new homes are located in older neighborhoods, where the existing context, both physical and historical, tells us a lot about our final design. Though often larger than nearby houses, careful attention to massing, detail and style make these houses good neighbors.
Additions and Renovations
Constituting the largest part of our work, these “transformations” define Morris-Day for a lot of people. Like our work in New Homes, context rules, and if we indulge ourselves in a bit of “historical fabrication”, it is in service to a larger goal of better homes and better neighborhoods.
Interiors
No Morris-Day home is complete without fully considering the interior. Though our plans and use of space are up-to-date, we take a traditional approach to detailing and room-making. What others would consider ordinary “built-ins” we consider “furniture”, and the difference in attitude is what sets Morris-Day homes apart from the rest.
